After a collision

COLLISION FLATBED

A damaged car may need all-wheels-up transport, but first the scene must be safe and the load conditions known.

People and scene control first

Call 911 for injuries, fire, immediate danger, or a hazardous blocked roadway. Follow police and road-authority directions. A private flatbed cannot be dispatched into a scene that has not been released for removal.

Damage affects the loading plan

A car with broken suspension, locked wheels, leaking fluids, crushed bodywork, or missing keys may need additional work or equipment. Mention the damage plainly. If fluids or debris pose a hazard, stay clear and follow official instructions.

Plan the handoff

Verify the destination will accept the car, including after-hours delivery. If insurance, a body shop, or property management is involved, confirm who has authority to request and pay for the move.
